Salary: Grade E Points 9 - 13 (£20,344 - £22,021 full time equivalent) pro rata.  

Hours: 37 hours per week / 5 days per week / Term Time only plus 5 days (39 weeks) / Permanent 

Required for March 2020 

John Whitgift Academy is looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join our academy in March 2020 to provide supervision of students. Successful candidates will need to respond to questions, generally assist students to undertake set activities and to uphold standards of behaviour in the classroom. In addition to cover needs, there will also be a requirement to work alongside existing staff in specific curriculum areas providing general support for departments. This is a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the school and the successful applicant must be IT literate and competent in using a variety of software packages. 

John Whitgift Academy is the highest performing academy in North East Lincolnshire and is in the top 4% of most improved academies in the country. Its student population is rapidly growing with numbers leaving in 2019 compared to those joining, increasing by 200%. Behaviour is good with a relentless focus upon learning, aspiration and in establishing quality effective relationships between students, staff and the local community. Outcomes in 2018 were above national average in all main categories and the academy is very fortunate to have exceptional facilities, such as swimming pools, an engineering base and a 220 seat private cinema.
