North East Lincolnshire Council is looking for an Accounting Specialist to provide a range of financial support, budgeting and advice to Children’s Services.

Reporting directly to the service, the individual will be expected to deliver a proactive financial support service to management and nominated budget holders, providing clear, timely, accurate and understandable financial advice in respect of budgets, decisions and emerging issues.

A critical aspect of the role will be financial analysis and data and the reporting of trends, analysis and key risks to the service. The successful applicant will also be required to monitor and advise management and budget holders on compliance with standing orders, financial regulations and internal control systems and make recommendations for change as appropriate. This will require the individual to deliver ongoing financial and systems training programmes to budget holders and key decision makers.
