The Role

Following a recent review of our senior leadership team we are looking to recruit to 3 senior roles within Resources that will play key roles in the Council and working with our partners, one of those being the Head of Communications & Customer.  All 3 roles will provide effective leadership, planning and management of a range of support services that are flexible and responsive, enabling us to deliver on priorities.

The Head of Communications & Customer will lead a pro-active and responsive communications function for the Council and CCG (the Union), and customer functions for the Council. This will include leading and co-ordinating resources across the Union, ensuring that Customer and Communications strategies and operational delivery supports and enables the Council and its’ partners to deliver priorities.

You will have proven experience in provision of strategic and operational communications in a large complex organisation. You will understand the priorities and objectives of the Council and align operational delivery of the communications and customer functions to meet those objectives.  You will be able to demonstrate your knowledge of local government and the political framework, as well as the roles and responsibilities of the CCG in the health environment.

You will have the personality and style to lead and embrace an open and inclusive culture, living the Council values, empowering, and supporting our people to be the best they can be.
