Vacancy Description

Welholme Academy are looking to appoint a highly motivated Safeguarding Mentor to join our team.

The successful candidates will need to have high expectations of the children in their care and be flexible in their approach to working as part of a team.

The primary role of the posts will be to work as part of the safeguarding team, supporting our children and families to keep them safe and to support access to learning as well as undertaking any other duties required by the Head teacher.

The successful candidate will need to be able to promote safeguarding for children and staff at the Academy. They will need to be able to act as the first point of contact for any safeguarding, child and family protection concerns, providing timely, relevant support and advice in order to safeguard the children.

They will be expected to establish and maintain a working relationship with parents/carers and to implement best practice in relation to safeguarding.
